Northern Air Cargo are another famous operator of classic aircraft in Alaska. At Fairbanks, their operation is from a hangar and ramp adjacent to Everts. However, NAC no longer have aircraft based at Fairbanks, with only a collection of redundant DC-6 airframes parked up at their facility. In fact, the halcyon days of a large DC-6 operation at NAC have now passed - the operation at Anchorage uses two DC-6s alongside three 737-200Fs which have been recently acquired. We were able to photograph the retired aircraft at Fairbanks, before visiting their more vibrant operation at Anchorage later in the trip

With thanks to the staff at NAC Fairbanks for allowing us to visit and photograph their aircraft.
